You can always depend on RAM mounts

I've spent a lot of money on other mounts over the years on stuff that had unique features, but had a short life, and replacement parts? You often can't find the manufacturer. RAM seems expensive, but you can get parts or change options without buying a whole new unit if your needs change. I always seem to come back to this product.Read full review...

Another great Ram Mount product.

I am using this mount to mount an ICOM IC-2820H radio control head. There are two screws to assemble the ball mount to the suction cup. The suction cup mounts to the windshield very easily and is very secure. It was a perfect fit for my control head. There is a lot of adjustment left to right, and up and down. RAM is the final solution to all your problems!

RAM make great products, period. Many of the applications are limited only by your imagination. Components can be used in diverse applications (motorcycle windshield mounting, bicycle racks, etc.) The X-Grip initially had some issues in that a sharp jolt can dislodge the phone if the jaws relax spasmodically. This has been fixed with a tether, so all good. The arms and the suction cup are incredibly well made and have unparalleled longevity. They are likely to easily outlast the buyer. Built RAM tough and I'm not talking about the trucks

I work for AAA as a tow truck operator and I have one of the roughest riding trucks you can imagine, I've gone through two other phone holder suction cup Style mounts, they were labeled as commercial or heavy duty and bought at truck stops albeit not very expensive but still very sturdy for the price, in both cases they looked and felt like they would last through the Rough and Tumble of everyday driving. After the second one failed at a critical time on the freeway in the middle of a three-car accident it dawned on me that I have had the answer staring me right in the face, you see we use RAM mounts to hold our tablets and they're extremely durable and in the whole Fleet of 24 trucks not a single one has ever failed. They are holding a pound-and-a-half tablet with their amazing clamp system, they aluminum adjustable clamp arm and consist of two spherical ball Style mounts that allow full articulation in any direction. So in conclusion to this very long review is that you can never put a price on reliability in the worst of situations and that's exactly why I bought this phone / mount system. It has never failed and it never will it is still just as locked on my windshield like the day I installed it, so far it's been 17000 miles of torture with one suction cup stuck to my window holding a Google pixel XL and it is has never moved and never will. RAM twist lock holder

UPDATE: RAM is a great company. I went directly to them with my issue. They shipped me a new suction cup immediately. All is good now and working great.

I will be contacting the seller. I have tried every way I can to get the suction cup to stick and it is not working. The holder is excellent as far as being made. Heavy duty. I really hope I can work this suction cup problem out.Read full review...

Rock solid and more aluminum than plastic

I was truly shocked at the quality of this mount. It's nothing like what you will buy at a retail store. Most of it is actually machined aluminum instead of plastic.
