Soft and Sweet

THIS IS NOT REAL RALPH LAUREN ROMANCE!!!

I am TOTALLY UNHAPPY with my purchase!! This is not real Ralph Lauren Romance. I have worn Ralph Lauren Romance for YEARS and this is not the real product. The scent is similar to the knock off stuff you can get at any drug store. It does not linger. After putting it on, the scent lasts about 10 or 15 minutes and then its gone. When I opened the package there were signs that it was not the real thing. First, the plastic wrap that is on the box when you get it in the department stores was not on it. Second, the silver sticker that says Ralph Lauren that goes around the neck of the bottle was not completely stuck down as if it had recently been added. At first I thought it was just me, not being able to smell it on myself, but then my children noticed that it wasn't the same. And later my husband asked me what kind of perfume I was using, "I thought you got yourself the Romance you always wear." he said. So then I knew. And I actually still have my old bottle of the real stuff and we did a I wrapped both bottles and we did a smell test. My family picked the real bottle EVERY time. If I had known I was going to get this I would have taken my money to the department store where I can get the real thing. I would have returned the product and asked for my money back BUT! there was NO packing list or information on where I could call to contact the seller and complain or talk to someone about my dissatisfaction! The best quality and clean/fresh smelling perfume ever.

I have wore this perfume for 10 + years. It has a light clean/fresh sent that draws many compliments. I put the perfume on in the morning and at the end of my 12 hour shift I am still getting compliments. I had this one about 20 years ago. Smells just like I remember it. Very clean girl (like most hit Ralph Lauren's) and Romance won multiple FIFI awards. Its a classic. I had to put it back in rotation. I think a man could get away with this one though even though on a woman it still smells feminine. Elegant. Classy. Its the type of perfume I'd wear to a wedding, church, or in the middle of a hot and humid summer here in Tennessee. Very refreshing.Read full review

It does not smell the same and the dry down is quicker. But, I restocked and this time I also bought the Romance Parfum to see if it is the same as the EDP or something different. We will see.
