The Raspberry Pi 3 Model B 64 bit computer is AWESOME. The hardware was flawless. What makes the unit really exceptional is the support offered by the Raspberry Pi Foundation.
The Raspian Linux implementation is solid and the NOOBS installer makes deployment very simple.

I am considering using the board for a networking project. I was able to complete my proof-of-concept testing in hours instead of days. Everything I needed was available, well documented and easily installed.

Granddaughters Birthday gift

It is small, and lightweight, but she is into the coding as I am not... but I am sure she will love it because it is small and lightweight. I understand from her that the smaller the better, so she can compact it all into a small case. I answered yes for all the above questions, but I have not tested it myself and my granddaughter hasn't had her Birthday yet.. so I am not entirely sure.
