Good truck for the money
Tons of fun and pretty fast with the Lipo. I've had it for a few weeks now. I've abused it pretty hard. Launched it off of concrete ramps at the skate park way over my head... Only issue I've had is a locknut worked its way loose on a shock and the mounting screws on the front and rear bumper have stripped or came out... But in all realty I've done things with this truck that probably shouldn't be done. Only issue I have is the reverse on mine.. Since day one sometimes it takes several pushes on the trigger before it gets out of breaking feature. Fun truck. I'd recommend it. Read full review...

Not bad for the price.
First let me say I have been into RC for about 30 years. Most of which is with RC cars. I picked this up as a early Christmas gift for a friend was very new to radio controlled cars. Anyway I told him he would probably break it on the first run. And he did. Good thing that parts are easy to get.
This thing can get out of hand very fast if your a beginner. I would suggest a one over on this before actual run. Check all of the screws and nuts. Check the wheel camber and toe. Doing so will make this a bit more easy to handle.
It lacks some of the little extras that some of your more higher end brands have that make them more durable. Not to say this in not durable because it is for the most part. Just dont do any crazy jumping with it that some of the other brands can handle. It will break sooner or latter. Most likely sooner then the latter.
Upgrades are out there and this should be considered as parts break if its an option. I would like to point out that the chassis and battery mount are all the same one piece. So if a battery mount breaks then thats a new chassis you will be buying as well. If this happens you can still mount the battery by other means. There are a few other minor issued regarding durability. The bulkhead has no brace that connects the pins that hold the A-arms in place. This is a major breaking point. Look for a means to brace this area.
If you drive it around and are fairly mindful as to how you bash it you will be fine and have lots of fun. I will say that it can handle a height of 6ft or so with a landing off a jump or flat face drop off. Just keep in mind that with even higher end RC cars all it takes is a bad landing and thats just a matter of time. Read full review...

Tried to kill this Truck but it just keeps going
This is one blazing fast RC Truck, maybe too fast. An amazing value with this brand and extremely rugged. Many curb jumps and including one into a tree at full blast and the truck just drove away. Good shocks, ditch the springs...
Really good shocks. They were easy to "make work" on my Tamiya CC-01 truck. Gave me a considerable lift, and more droop. Good price, great product!
The only con for me is the springs....

Wasn't expecting to be disappointed, but with plastic shocks why wouldn't I be.
I bought this as a gift, his first rc car, for my 12 year old son. I have common general knowledge about rc cars, so I knew what kind of specs I was looking for. The blackout had pretty solid reviews across many different retailer sites, and Redcat has a multitude of options and pretty large variety of models and variations amongst them. So here we are, Christmas day, it was just brought out for the first time and and the coil housing on the left suspension rod already snapped leaving it inoperable until the shocks are replaced. I am sorry but who the f*** uses plastic housings on shock absorbers? That is more disappointing than the fact that my son is s.o.l. for the time being. I expected better quality on one of the most important parts of great handling and performance. On the other hand I bought my younger son the Redcat Desert Sandstorm (which is equipped with aluminum coils) and it handles and performs like a beast even in our 8-12 inches of snow.Read full review...

Good car for the price
The car itself was fantastic it took jumps like a champ, the issues are in the charger and the remote. The charger is really sketchy and the remote is kinda cheap, motor seems to have plenty of power with the little 2s, suspension is solid, the servo is good but needs a better servo saver( its a little sloppy)other than that its a great car for the price.
