Evil Lives Up ---- AGAIN !!

Flesh-Eating Zombies are Apocolyptically back in 'Resident Evil: Extinction', the Third (3rd) and expected last film in the 'Resident Evil' franchise. No better or worse than its video game-derived predecessors, Russell Mulcahy's schlockfest plays off other Sci-Fi Chillers as Milla Jovovich slices and dices her way through Armies of Zombies to shut down the Nefarious Umbrella Corporation for good.
Watching Jovovich and her Action Babe sidekick Ali Larter (Heroes) blast Zombies to a bloody pulp is akin to seeing a gore-splattered Maxim layout, turned into a feature film; a premise that frankly was set for all 'Resident Evil's' successfully. And is still the hot, smoking-gun again !!
For anyone who missed the previous 'Resident Evil' Films, Jovovich plays Alice, one of the few people left on Earth not infected with the Umbrella Corporation's T-Virus, which turns its victims into Zombies. Genetically altered to be super strong and agile by the sinister Dr. Isaacs (Iain Glen), Alice has found a refuge of sorts in the Nevada wasteland, where she ultimately meets a ragged band of survivors, led by her 'Resident Evil: Apocalypse' friend Carlos Oliveira (Oded Fehr) and Claire Redfield (Larter).
After many brutal conflicts with the Zombies and T-Virus Infected Crows, they decide to set out for distant Alaska, supposedly beyond the reach of the T-Virus. But first they'll have to stop to refuel in Las Vegas, where they'll run up against the Zombies for one more Apocolyptic Showdown while Isaacs, who needs Alice's blood; seeks to avenge his evil plan of transforming the Zombies into his slaves.
Directed by Mulcahy ('Highlander') with great enthusiasm for his genre, 'Resident Evil: Extinction' offers up more of it's same sexy-horror slaughter (i.e., scantily clad babes battling Zombie Galore), in a film that screams success to it's audience on multiple-levels.... the sex, violence and Zombie Monsters. Mulcahy and Producer/Screenwriter Paul Anderson crib from such films as 'The Road Warrior' (1982), '28 Days Later' (2003), 'Pitch Black' (2000) and George Romero's 'Day of the Dead' (1985), among others, in this vehicle for Jovovich, the reigning queen of the Sexy-Erotic Horror Babes vs Zombies (that even Rose McGowan has joined now from 'Planet Terror').
Entertaining....Fun-Guaranteed !!!!

Resident Evil Extinction

The first Resident Evil movie was a very well made, big budget film with fantastic effects, great scenery, costumes, weapons and gadgets.

The second movie was going in that same direction until they brought out the nemesis. The mystery at the end of the first film and the tease for the second.

The mightly Nemesis project of the evil umbrella corporation. And the nemesis was a guy in a very bad rubber suite. It was really kind of like watching old episodes of Johnny Sako and His Giant Flying Robot or Ultra-man. Those terrible Japanese sci-fi shows that featured guys wearing giant rubber body suite/costumes that would crease and fold when they moved and looked so fake and so stupid you would just break out laughing.

So I was very very excited that the third resident evil movie took it cue from the first and went back to a much more intelligent story line than the second with better effects and action much like the first. This third installment is a solid effort of fun to watch, zombie movie carnage!

UMBRELLA REVIEW

Interesting plot great action scenes and you can tell a lot of effort as gone into the making of this film. The problem is that apart from the crows and the tyrant at the end nothing really says resident evil. Although after the first 2 films you probably already know that so even though its not perfect it does have a resident evil feel to it. Charaters from the games return the likes of Carlos and claire redfield but they really don't get enough creen time and are over shadowed by the movies main character alice which is a thing that really annoys be about the film. However it dose have some good scenes involving Albert Wesker from the games even if it dosn't match the character from the games the fights are good exspecially with the crismon heads in Las Vegas.
Otherall this is a good film so it would get 4 out of 5 for a movie but only 3 out of 5 for a Resident Evil film. But its defently worth wacthing even if its just for fun thankyou for reading.

Resident Evil: Extinction-a kick-butt movie!!!

T-Virus escapes, contaminates world, world becomes desert. Most living creatures become zombies who prefer human meat on the menu.
Some humans survive - good guys form convoys and keep moving, bad guys live underground in high-tech facilities. Good guys look for more good guys and scavenge for supplies, and of course kill zombies. Bad guys look for cure and kill clones and zombies.
Evil scientist gets carried away with evil experiments. He needs Alice to use her blood to make anti-virus. Alice wants to keep her blood, and links up with human convoy. Alice kills zombie in awesome fashion. Many deaths follow.
Or in other words:

"This is a kick-butt movie with strong female roles, great camera work, lots of zombies and awesome CGI. You should like this one."

i think this is the best resident evil movie, the special effects are awesome, the story is very good but if you wanted to see somethings like the game you better dont watch it because this movie and the others too dont respect very much the argument of the game. if you wanted to see a good action movie with great visual effects and sexys ladies this can be the movie for you.

The best:
-Milla Jovovich
-The Tyrant
-Las Vegas scene
-New Super undead

The worst:
-what happen with Jill Valentine?
-Dont respect the argument of the game

i am sorry, my english is not so good, in my country the people speak spanish.

Resident Evil: Extinction (2008, DVD)

If you like Monster Movie's then this is the Movie to see!!! This Movie has a twisted Story that takes us into another World of Horror!!! I enjoy a good Monster Movie and this is one I liked. I would like to see another part to this Movie. Maybe a different kind of ending~like the Monster's get controlled and the people make it and it shows them living a great life in the end. That is what I dislike about Zombie Movie's~never a fairy tale ending. I would like to see just once a fairy tale ending to a Zombie Movie. I decided to buy this Movie because I Love Monster Movie's and I heard from my Son that this Movie was great!!! It was!!! Thank-you eBay for making all this Shopping possible for me. It is fun Shopping when ever I want. Thanks again~ Linda.714Read full review...

Resident Evil: Extinction, Rocks!!!!

As a self-proclaimed horror critic, I have to say that this latest installment of the Resident Evil series of movies greatly supersedes the first two movies on many levels. As the rules for horror movies go, the third installment is a bigger production, introduce more characters, reveals new nemeses, and of course, leaves the door open for the next installment. Reminiscent to the beginning of Resident Evil Apocalypse, Extinction opens to narration by Alice which does a fantastic job of cementing the past and present conditions of the world which has now been overrun by zombies. The virus becomes a bigger player in this movie, spawning infected turned cannibalistic birds, super strong zombies, more mutant nemeses and a few thousand Alice clones.
Unlike part two, there was not as much gratuitous violence, which really made the film alot more enjoyable. Two main characters from part two make good in Extinction; in fact, they lasted to the near end which was a very nice change in that they did not just turn up in the beginning of the movie and die without a fight, like say characters in Underworld 2 and The Grudge 2. Great action and constant twist and turns kept the movie moving very fast. The excess of blood in this movie is reminiscent of 90's Japanimation: lots of splashing, slashing and exploding head shots, which are essential for a good zombie movie. Mila really tones down her Ripleyesque attitude(Aliens Resurrection) from part 2 and shows a more sympathetic side throughout the film; however, that does not mean that she does not kick ass better than ever. Aside from a few holes in the storyline and the use of obviously simple cat and mouse tactics imposed to walk you towards the next conflict, Extinction is a very well made zombie movie that has surpassed the previous two installments technically, and more importantly, financially. I assure you that the success of this movies will spawn part 4 in the coming year or two. I have yet to buy this film, but as soon as I see it on EBay for a decent price, it's mine.

could have been better

i really like the RE series but this was a real disappointment, only one boring plot point and the whole thing is spent in wrecked las vegas, alice is the only good character, and the clare redfield character was so butchered it was almost the worst part, and then to put the last bit of polish on this terd "super zombies"! as if the rising of the dead who hunger relentlessly for flesh just wasn't enough to freak you out, they had to dump the genre in the toilette, and reach for the handle! RE 3 is worth a watch but thats about it the writers really dropped the ball on this one, and there is just so much fertile territory to do with zombies, its not like they ran out of ideas, there just lazy.Read full review...
