Not as sturdy as a real N64 controller, but just as functional.

RetroLink's N64 replica controller seems a bit more flimsy than the traditional N64 controllers that I remember. It seems thinner and far less heavy, but that doesn't necessarily translate into bad quality. Out of the package, every single button worked perfectly, and the analog stick (which is technically the most vulnerable component) performed excellent. USB connectivity was spot on, without the need for any drivers. Simply plug, play, and assign your commands to each key. Perfect for emulators like Project64, though you may need to dial down the analog stick's range from the default 100%. I find 65% to be an excellent value.Read full review...

Completely unresponsive joystick

I used the controller on a Raspberry pi 2 with the Retropie emulator. The controller was recognised immediately and the configuration was easy. However, the joystick makes contact only at the edges of its range. It works like a button with true/false making any smooth move (like aiming/turning in GoldenEye) impossible.Read full review...

First off, I'm not a major N64 aficionado so I can't completely comment on how it compares to the original. But all buttons have a nice tactile feel and the joystick is tight but still feels like a N64 stick, just not all worn out like most are today! Great value.Read full review...

Perfect for playing all your favorite N64 games on your PC.

I was impressed to know that a inexpensive version of the infamous N64 controller for PC was available. After receiving the controller, I noticed that the memory card/rumble pak insert is not useable. It is only a mold of the insert. That was a bit disappointing, but no biggie.
