Very handy, clean finish

This is a great product whether writing in pencil or with a fountain pen (which I tend to use because it discourages me from pressing too hard, a bad habit I have never been able to fully shake without using a fountain pen to force me to press more lightly). The surface is smoother than rag papers, so it doesn't absorb too much ink and look runny with water-based ink the other papers tend to do.

I prefer the dot pattern to lines and grids. It provides me with subtle guides in all four directions, without being overly visible and overwhelming what I've written (can you tell I have inherently poor penmanship, and need a lot of aids to write well?)

This is large enough that I can write a lot, but small enough that it can be put into a coat pocket. It is a very handy intermediate-sized notepad for someone like me, who needs to write things down to remember them, and needs to be able to take a notepad pretty much anywhere quickly.Read full review...
