The bar has been set for music/rhythm games.

Is everything as advertised and even greater than the sum of its parts. The game immerses yourself in its world of celebrating rock and roll, and playing its greatest hits. The only thing lacking was that the Rock Band 1 drum set was a little too noisy to be played realistically. Fortunately, that was pretty much solved with the advent of the Rock Band 2 drum controller. I could go on, but I would recommend buying the Rock Band 2 bundle containing the new hardware (you might as well), and then snapping up a copy of this game. Rock Band Game

I bought this game because I didn't want to pay for the whole bundle of rock band, trying to save some money. I looked for a used one because I have bought used games before and they are most of the time just as good as new games. I like the fact that it was cheap. Compared to Guitar Hero World Tour, the graphics are not good. The character creation is miserable.

The song selection is good. The structure is fun. The game structure is better than GHWT. It is a faster loading game also. GHWT needs a lot of time between songs to get ready. GHWT gives you an awesome breakdown of your performance on every song, Rock band does not.Read full review...

Rock Band Rock On!

I know I am a bit late to this party but this game is fantastic- as evidenced by the 13 hours I played it within the first 36 hours of receiving it. I know there are more current versions and releases but this one is great if you are just starting out and the music is awesome- I know almost all of the songs and it is a huge trip down memory lane for me (as most of the music was huge in the 80's - 90's). Rock Band

I like that it had what we were looking for. We got the Beetles Rock Band and loved it so we wanted to get the other game. The main thing we wanted was to be able to download and buy more songs from xbox live, and you need the first one to be able to do that with certain songs. The game is pretty much what we expected. There are songs that we are not that into and it takes longer to unlock all of them because of that. The Beetles you didn't have to unlock any. Rock Band 1

This game has made me a believer in music games. Before, I'd played Guitar Hero 2 and 3, but never really gotten too involved in them. Rock Band, however, completely blows them away. The atmosphere really draws you in and makes you feel like you're standing on stage playing in a real band. When the crowd gets into your playing and starts singing along with the song it feels so amazing.

There are a few niggling problems with the game, but from what I've read they've all been addressed in the sequel (which I've already ordered, even though I just got the original).
