The fine height adjustment and the cam style jaw clamp are the clinchers

They're very strong with stable tripod legs that are easy to fold and unfold. The fit and finish are excellent with no sharp edges and smooth operating mechanisms. The plastic top rails are rugged and smooth enough to use directly. The embedded level in the rails is accurate enough to use without double checking with a separate level. The head angle adjustment works smoothly. The vertical post holding clamp is easy to tighten as it uses a fine threaded clamp which gives plenty of grip. You only have to get the height close as the fine tuning crank allows you to get it perfect. It never affected the bevel angle of my table saw cuts. The cam jaw clamps exert a lot of force with little effort. It easily holds a 4' long piece in the middle as a cantilevered workpiece support. I do recommend getting two for a saw horse for ripping 4' x 8' plywood.Read full review...

Design flaw

Overall the clamping mechanism and fine adjustment work good, but where the legs meet the center main clamp, there is a triangle shaped plastic insert piece through which the tube slides up or down, and so that piece makes the whole thing unstable. Try to clamp the large wood item into this stand and then work on it Perhaps the low cost is the reason, but if I knew I would rather pay more and get that stand with metal sliding insert, if they make it that way of course, which I think would make the stand more solid and make me feel that I have real tool.Read full review...

Great new addition to my work-support tools

After owning a Rockwell JawHorse for the last seven years, I ran across ads and reviews of their new JawStand. The RK9034 looks to be a good improvement over the earlier JawStand model that didn't include the micro-height adjustment feature. This thing is very solidly built with only a few plastic parts. It is very stable thanks to the 3-legged design. The problem with the JawHorse was that it could only clamp something in the horizontal direction of its vise jaws. The JawStand eliminates that problem by allowing the jaws to be rotated from horizontal to vertical clamping or anywhere in between its 90-degrees of angular rotation.

This tool is great for clamping boards or other materials and also makes a great outfeed support for table saws and other stationary power tools. The micro adjustment lets you rough set the height of the stand and then adjust the height within a 2-inch range to the exact height you need.

Out feed table for table saw and bicycle repair stand

I have used the stand for an outfeed table for my table saw. I clamped a 2x6 using the included clamp on the jaw stand . It works perfectly.
I have also used the jawstand as a bicycle repair stand. I invert the bike in the trough on the stand and clamp it. I discovered I have to use two additional wood working clamps to hold the bike steady on the jawstand. It works great. It is much cheaper than buying a park tool repair stand. I’m very happy with my purchase. Thank you Rockwell for making a multi purpose stand. I haven’t tried using it for kitchen cabinets or hanging a door yet. Maybe someday soon...Read full review...

Versatile and Sturdy

Over the years I have done many do it yourself projects. Where has this been all my life! It’s even better than an extra pair of hands because it holds my work precisely and securely. This has become one of my best friends in my tool arsenal. I particularly like the hand crank precision height adjuster. Wouldn’t be without it.Read full review...

Great Product as long as it is used for described purposes!

Great Product as long as it is used for described purposes! It is great for holding and supporting as long as you do not go over the recommended weights. I have two and use it as extended supports for use with my miter saw stand when cutting lumber or molding up to and over 16ft.Read full review...

Simple, does what it says

So far I have used this to support large slabs while I'm feeding them into my table saw as well as some pretty heavy solid wood doors while hanging. For both tasks it has been super helpful. I can't think of a much better tool to help hang doors alone. I plan to just make a board with bearings on it to stick in the jaw for better in-feed/out-feed function.Read full review...

Handy and strong

Amazing work stand and outfeed support! The ability to adjust the height by fractions of an inch is great for setting up shelves or cabinets, and the clamp can hold a solid-core door in place while you install it. Also works well with the Rockwell Jawstand for longer pieces that need multiple spots secured.Read full review...

Good product for small jobs

Product is good and does the job.
Clamp could have more strength.
Wish the height adjustment would allow for a lower position. Sometime even in it's lowest setting, it's still too high.
Overall could product for home use, not industrial use.Read full review...

Versatile and well built

PROS
Well built.
Easy to micro adjust
Can tightly hold a work piece at different positions.

CONS
A bit heavy to manipulate
When spread to insure stability, the legs do take space. The support is not made for tight places.Read full review...
