Seann William Scott and Paul Rudd are Wheeler and Danny, ad drones who go school to school preaching the evils of drugs while promoting the energy drink Minotaur. Danny lost his lust for life years ago, and after his girlfriend Beth (Elizabeth Banks) has had enough and leaves him, Danny has a Minotaur-fueled meltdown at a school that leads to the arrest of both himself and Wheeler. Their choices are 30 days in jail or 150 hours of community service. They choose the latter, and end up as big brothers in the Sturdy Wings program, run by former coke whore Gayle Sweeny (Jane Lynch). Wheeler is assigned to Ronnie (Bobb’e J. Thompson), a foul-mouthed 10-year-old, and Danny gets Augie (Christopher Mintz-Plasse, McLovin from “Superbad”), a medieval re-enactment junkie and embarrassment to his parents. Wheeler and Danny, of course, do not gel with their little brothers at first, but soon develop meaningful, if contentious, relationships with them. The rest of the story writes itself: Danny and Wheeler screw up with their littles and could wind up in jail, both learn Valuable Lessons about themselves, the boys learn that they should do whatever makes them happy, etc. And there is a giant, ridiculous face-off during the medieval battle royale that is just too good to describe here. Along the way, there is a boatload of profanity, one unforgettable scene between Wheeler and a school teacher.

hilarious
i watched the unrated role models. This movie is hilarious. It's about two friends who choose to do community service to avoid jail time. They are assigned to help kids with learning and spending time with them. One of the kid is a total geek and other one has issues with foul languages. They get out of control. Watch it to find out how they both will win over their trust. Special appearance at the end = look like Kiss band. haha

Role Models DVD
This is a very good comedy movie from start to finish. Paul Rudd and Sean William Scott played their roles extremely well and were excellent choices for this movie. The jokes are hilarious, the script is great, and is was not over-the-top like some R rated movies. Is has a terrific blend of humor between the different stories of the characters. Is is not appropriate for children, but I would highly recommend it for anyone else. It really does have some nice, heartwarming lessons, and the way they are mixed in with the comedy makes them easily noticed and well understood. Really, how often has a movie rated R tought us something that we can use in life, while being extremely funny? I laughed throughout the course of the movie, and learned some things. Any movie that can combine a high volume of comedy, AND teach us something, should be in everyone's DVD collection.

HILARIOUS MOVIE!
A lot of R-rated comedies that have been coming out over the past few years really blend the line between humor and just plain disgusting. But not Role Models. This movie was funny from beginning to end, even the serious "life-learning" moral scenes included humor to keep the audience enjoying. Sure, many of the jokes are crude and crass, but they're delivered in such a magnificent way that the viewer doesnt really mind. Paul Rudd and Sean William Scott make an impeccable comedic duo, and hopefully they'll do more projects together in the future, because it was their movie that is probably the all-around funniest movie I have seen in a long time.Read full review...

Danny and Wheeler are energy drink salesman who get into trouble with the law and are given the choice of either time in jail or 150 hours of community service. Opting for the lessor of two evils, Danny and Wheeler 'volunteer' with a mentoring program where they're paired up with a kid who cusses like a sailor and one who is obsessed with medieval role playing. Although initially they seem to be totally unsuited for, and ill-prepared to handle, the important job of being role models to impressionable kids, Danny and Wheeler find themselves connecting with their young charges and actually growing through the experience.Read full review...

this is an epic movie...i bought it out of mind not knowing how good or bad it was going to be based upon what i have heared from my friends and other people talking about it, i decided to just purchase it so instead of new i used ebay :) and got it really cheap...but its a great movie and full of things that will make you laugh.Read full review...
Funniest movie ever
I love this movie seen it on regular T.V. so I bought the unedited DVD and loved it even more.. I can keep watching this movie over and over. I has a real good lesson about life and things that really do happen. I have told lots of people about this movie. Role Models is a great film that has alot of comedy in it and alot of great acting! Wouldn't recommend film for young children. It's not that it has swearing and innappropriate acts, it's that young children may not understand the movie.Read full review...
