excellent strategy.
For all who love a good, involved strategy game, I recommend Barbarian Invasion. It's highly detailed without being overwhelming. Not only must you display both craft and reckless abandon on the battlefield, but must also prudence and diplomacy in the management of your cities.
There are several factions and nations to choose from, with unique characteristics. You can even choose to be a wandering horde, like the Huns, leaving a trail of fire and mayhem in your wake.
As your cities grow, you can delegate certain responsibilities to the AI if you wish.
For those who just like to battle, you can bypass the campaign game and customize your own battles or choose to re-enact historical ones.
Best of all, this game has several great modifications that can be downloaded from specific sites for the purpose. I'm enjoying the Middle Earth version, complete with maps, uniforms and names from that universe.Read full review...
Good Expansion and Addition to an awesome game!
Rome Total War is an awesome game and if you want more buy the expansion called Barbarian invasion. Barbarian invasion takes place in the later years of the Roman Empire and you can play as the Romans and try to defend the empire from its fall or play to build your own empire from its ruins. This game seems more challenging than the original game and is made for veterans of the first. If you loved Rome Total War and want more, buy this and also consider Rome Total War: Alexander and Medieval Total War.Read full review...
