Almost Perfect.

This Gas Can is one of the best. It is well built and can be mounted almost anywhere. The only downside is the cost and the spout. The spout is crap. Just buy the replacement spout from Rotopax. It is long and has a vent built in. It will cost you another $8. That brings up price. With the RotoPax(gas can), Mount(s), and extra spout, you are well over $100. More like $120($160 with two mounts). That is a lot of money, but getting stuck cuz you ran out of gas is not fun so the money is well spent. I bought two mounts so I can use the RotoPax on my ATV or UTV. Mounting on the ATV and UTV was a breeze. The Mounts hold the can well and do not come lose or make noise. Love the product, not so much on the price. I would recommend buying one because of the easy of use and the fact it can be mounted almost anywhere.Read full review...

The can is fine on outside they said slight imperfections in neck ok after i got it i opend it in the neck it looks like it got to hot and started bubbling plastic and it pulled away from a spot ok it is supposed tu be pressure tested. Now this spot is up next to top of neck i shined a light tu get a better look at it it looks like paper thin i mean thin i have not put anythang in it yet kinda scared to but rotopax said its pressure tested so ill try it out and see if it holds oh the color on outside is not red its really really faded bad pinkish white like looked like it had been left out in sun fer years but rekon ill see if it works i got a ride cummin up ill try it out on keeping my fangers crossedRead full review...

Great Product

Purchased two 2 gallon gas tanks and I’m very pleased with the quality. Worth the money in my opinion. Supportive staff and awesome combo deal. Can’t wait to get them on my bumper. Thank you!

Expensive, but Good

Quality seems very good, although I have not used them yet. I really wanted them because they are designed well for mounting on ATV, etc. As for the good value, I believe that they are on the expensive side. But I was willing to pay it to get the quality and design. EBAY offered my best deal.Read full review...

My first Rotopax

I plan to take many extended camping and off road excursions in the foreseeable future and needed water and gas canisters that I could easily lift onto the roof of my truck or rack on my shell. I didn't want to put them on the tailgate or inside the shell because I don't expect (except for water) to be using them regularly and didn't want to deal with having to unlock or swing out another steel bracket to get into the back of my shell. Because I have Parkinson's Disease I am limited to how much weight I can lift or carry so wanted it broken down into smaller sized containers of no more than 2 gallons at a time. This kit is mounted to a Thule Canyon roof rack and because there are few instructions and/or vids available on how to mount these I was taking a leap of faith they would fit my rack. They did work without mods and everything was really pretty easy to set up. The quality is great but buy factory seconds if they are available as they are completely functional and will save you some dollars. Many options are available if you want larger containers. The only negative is they are pretty expensive.Read full review...

Does exactly what I need it to do

Thick heavy plastic. No gas odor. No Leakage
Dispensing the gas out of it is my only point of contention. Thus 4 stars but since 99.9 % of what I need it for is to hold gas and stay tightly in place on my trailer wall... It does that perfectly. A little pricey but things that work usually are.Read full review...

Rock solid

The product, packaging & shipping and customer care were all as good as it gets.
Questions were answered, their concern for my satisfaction and their follow up to make sure is rare. Oh ya the Rotopax jerry can and the DLX pack mount are surprisingly strong.Read full review...

Both containers leaked fuel, both fuel fillers arrived failed and leaked copious amounts of fuel onto the ground...

Both units leaked.

Both fuel fillers arrived failed, when the nozzle is inserted and unlocked, more fuel flows around the valve and onto the ground than into the fuel tank.

So I purchased two things while overlanding in Moab, i) a funnel to simply pour the fuel front the rotopax directly into the tank, and ii) i found a replacement fuel filler that works great.

If I could return these items I would, I am switching over to a different Jerry Can arrangement and getting rid of the rotopax...

The right fuel pack for an ATV

Pros:
-Rugged 2 gallons fuel packs.
-Compact design.
-Modular design.
-Heavy duty baseplate.
-Easy to install.

Cons :
-Very cheap and unefficient spout. Replace it with standard ''Scepter'' model.
-Supplied mounting screw kit don't contains the right hardware for a secure installation.
-The DLX mounts screws not long enough, if you install a lockwasher to secure the DLX mounts
