For the money and what I'd use it for it will suffice.

The drill was easy to set up and was actually larger than I thought it woud be. The speeds to use for the material being drilled is on a label inside the casing covering the belt at top.
It seems to have the power needed to drill anything I would use it for.
The laser light and the lamp are great features that I'll cetainly use.

Setting the table platform to angle is awkward and I'm not sure if I will need it.

I'll definitly modify it with a Drill Press Table...

First one I've owned so hoping it continues to satisfy.

by TOP CRITICAL REVIEW

Pretty good for the price.

Really have not used it other than just test that it was working. It appears to be a little wobbly at the table that may not help the accuracy of the drilling. No instructions to put it together but went online and found them pretty easily. It will do what I need it to do. I purchased this through toolsdirect so a discounted price.Read full review

Impressed

I'm impressed. It's not perfect, but I really can't complain for the price. It was a good value. The motor runs well and doesn't bind up at all. The chuck is perfectly centered and doesn't even have 0.001" runoff (not even when lowering). The table's very precise (only took a couple minutes to set up the vise to within 0.001" with just a few pieces of aluminum foil). There's a lot of room between the chuck and the table, so it's easy to fit a vise and your part on the table and a long drill bit (with room to spare).

The only complaints I have are the quill/depth stop and the sloppiness of the table. No matter how hard I try, I can't get the depth stop to stay in place. I even used vice grips to tighten them and they still loosened up and started to spin on their own (an easy fix)... and the table has A LOT of side to side play when cranking it up and down. It's not too much of a problem though. It's very rigid and stays put once it's tightened down.

So in the end... I'm very happy with my purchase. It's a good quality drill and you really can't beat the price. It's a big upgrade compared to my old Craftsman 10" drill press and it allows me to do a lot of things that I could never do before.

Good quality, Good price and an A++ Seller!!

Satisfied

My Ryobi 10" drill press is the very first I have ever owned. So far using the drill it runs well and the speed adjustment was fairly easy to do. I am pleased with the purchase and what I use it for. For the price I believe it is of good value.Read full review

Great, with one issue.

The only issue I have is the one mentioned by others, the plastic pulleys. Otherwise, very good. My first drill press, and for the first time in my 75 years, I drilled a perpendicular hole without injury to me or my work.Read full review

Not bad for the price but

Works well but the table lift hand crank sits so close to the table that adding a larger bed to the table is not possible without handle modifications or removing the hand crank all together.

Great value.

Well made, solid assembly, good little drill press, for the money. You can spend a lot more, and get something better, but for less than $200.00; this drill press is not to bad at all. After final assembly, go over the whole press and tighten all the exposed threaded fasteners, particularly around the motor mount. The drill press is a little noisy, when running, but not excessive. I expect a little belt dressing might quiet it down a little. Other than that, the spindle run out measures about 005”… not bad at all for a bargain press. Read full review
