Simple and easy project
Upon completion using this product the headlight looked brand new. I had both some hazing and a botch clear coat to clear that had alligator skinned. That said, for my project the sand paper provided was not enough. I added two additional sandpapers, 600 and 1500 grit, in the sequence. All sanding was done by hand. The directions are correct, upon applying the clear coat do not go back to areas with it applied, even if only a minute or two has passed. My attempt to smooth a small run created a smear. Although it still looks okay, it is not perfect as the passenger side(pictured). Also, be sure to tape off thoroughly before applying the clear coat to avoid runs getting onto the paint. Worked well but not great.
First, I would have to say my lights were bad. My vehicle is 15 yrs. old and the headlights have only been restored one other time. (Used different product) For me, nothing is ever as easy as videos on line. I spent well over an hour on each headlight (did them at the same time as suggested). Once I was done with the sanding and before applying second coat of spray cleaner, I found I was unhappy with results of one of the headlights. I went through the entire sanding process again on that headlight.
When I finally applied the clear coat, I was expecting magic and looked forward to each light looking new. Regrettably, they looked much better than before but not the "wow" I was expecting.
This product worked far better than the initial stuff I used and if/when I do this again, I'm sure I'll use Sylvania again. My lights are much better but I was hoping for more.
Next time, may use a coarser grade of sandpaper on the first step.Read full review...

Listen. I read the other reviews and thought I would give this a try. To my amazement, it took my old foggy looking headlights on my Jeep Grand Cherokee and made them look BRAND NEW. As far as the application process goes, yes, there is a fair amount of sanding involved. Yes, my arms hurt after this. But you cannot argue with the result. The results were beautiful if not perfect. I actually did more than one car simultaneously which may have made my job more difficult and certainly made me more tired by the end of the job. I am very happy with the results and highly recommend this product. If I ever do it again, with the experience from what I just did, I would probably give it 5 stars. The Final Fix
I've owed this 2003 car for two years now. I've hated the faded old hazed look of the headlights. I've tried several DIY restorations with some success but the old look always quickly returned. I even tried another commercial product that appeared to fix the problem but again, it wasn't a long term success. The haze always came back.
After using this product following the directions and using all the materials included I got the clarity back that I had been hoping for. The shine and luster is like having new headlight assemblies. The performance of the headlights themselves increased also with the return of the clear lenses. My visible light on the highway at night was a very noted improvement after this treatment.

great product,period. simply follow the instructions, doing both lights at the same time. this product did a wonderful job in clearing up the lens.make sure to have plenty of water handy to keep everything wet and clean.make sure at the end to overlap your solution and do this in one stroke from top to bottom. this is your uv coating. check out the video on the company web site,shows step by step procedure. only one that has lifetime warranty on the clear coat. give yourself about an hour or so to get done . don't drive for at least 4 hrs. to give clear coat time to dry.Read full review...

Love This Kit!
Another reviewer referred to needing elbow grease to do the restoration job. True, but it's the only thing that's not included in this very complete package. The instructions are superb, and guide you every step of the way. There are no vagaries at all; you know exactly what you have to do. And like it says, read through everything before you tackle the job so that there are no surprises. My headlights came out beautifully. More than worth the effort.
A couple quick suggestions. You use a single sheet of each piece of sandpaper to prep both lights. You fold each piece in half, and do one headlight with one half, and the other with the other half. I'd write "left" and "right" on the back of each half, as I'd lose track of which half/side I was using. Also, do what it suggests in terms of masking off your headlights.
The big question, of course, is how long they'll look so spiffy. The kit does come with a lifetime warranty but I'd hate to have to do it again in, say, less than two years. Time'll tell, as I keep my cars a long time.
