Sabrent 3 TB, External, 2.5 inch (EC-UASP) Hard Drive

Well made, easy install, works well.

Bought this for a 500G SSD. Installs easily, works perfectly.
This is a well engineered little box. It's plastic, but well designed, goes together easily, holds a 2.5" drive firmly in place. I got it to replace an Orico enclosure, which is about half the price but didn't hold the SSD so well, resulting in intermittency.
Comes with a heavy duty cable -- USB Type A on both ends.
Has an on/off switch, solidly installed with positive detents. But why? Not clear why I would want it.
Haven't tested it for speed.
A useful well made low cost item if you have a spare SSD lying around, or want to get one for an external drive.Read full review

Its poor quality but if the price is lowered just a bit its well worth it. Plus it gets the job done sometimes the two joining side do not clip together as they should. But I would buy again unless I can find another that would accomplish same task.Read full review

Was easy to set up solid LONG cable

As holders for HDD go this was easy to set up not a whole lot to it. Installing the HDD into it was very easy and nothing in the way. i like the light that tells me if its working, on or off. Most i have had do not have any indicator lights. Compact long connect cable too. Solid cable. And delivery came days (About 4 or 5) before i was told it would come.Read full review

Sabrrent great little case

Great storage unit does not require an dc adapter worked with all my computers.

With 1 exception, this EC-UASP works well. The 1 exception is that drives over 2-TB
the GPT format on the drive is incompatible with other drive interfaces. E.g., PC internal SATA, StarTech eSATA/USB docking stn, a USB SATA-3 drive interface cable, etc. GPT formatted drives on those three devices are all interchangeable among the 3 devices, but NOT with the Sabrent EC-UASP. Sabrent apparently does something different for the on-disk GPT format that is incompatible with other devices. Read full review

Sabrent External Hard-Drive Enclosure

This hard-drive enclosure is very easy to use. I purchased it to back-up a ton of old files I no longer use, but would most likely need in the future.

Big help recovering archived files and saves time.

I bought this device to open a bunch of old IDE drives i had in storage so i could access the files and sort them out and clean out the drives. I was able to get all the old stuff i still wanted and erase everything else so i could recycle the drives and clear out the storage space for other things. The Sabrent worked great and was able to do the work without having to open up an old computer to hook the drives up 1 at a time.
