I use this for chat on Teamspeak, so my opinion is not that of a professional sound engineer. Given that, the Samson Meteor microphone fits the proverbial bill for me, perfectly. Small, but works well

I got this mic because I needed something better than my headset to use to record YouTube videos, and because with the couple of videos that I watched for a sound test between this and the Blue Yeti, I found that they were fairly similar, but this one is cheaper. Now on to the actual review.

Excellent Mono USB Microphone

Wanted an inexpensive USB mono-microphone, that had higher output than my existing condenser microphone 1/8th" connector. Amazing budget mic!

This is the best budget microphone for penny pinchers. The sound quality is amazing, and I love how compact it is. Perhaps my only gripe is the fact that there's some interference noise since it is a USB mic. It's a slightly annoying hum. While it is quiet, it's still there. Small but Great

I have had this microphone for a month and I do not find myself wanting for a different mic. I have been using this mostly for gaming and using Discord

Build quality: 10/10
Sound: 9.5/10
Size: compact, does not take up a ton of space on my desktop.

Con: my only real gripe about this, if I had to have one is that it does suffer from a tiny bit of phone interference when listening through the headphone jack in the back, but that can be easily solved by moving the phone at least 2 feet from the mic or just plug your headphones in somewhere else.Read full review
