Great Deal - $229 for a Samsung Galaxy A51 SM-A515U Verizon cell phone - Try Visible ( MVNO )

There is a ARM Cortex A73 processor in the Samsung Galaxy A51 SM-A515U cell phone. It is faster than the Snapdragon 821 processor in other phones. I am using this phone on the Visible ( MVNO ) that is owned by Verizon. Install the Visible cell network SIM. The phone wouldn't connect to the Visible cell network at first. I had to update the phone software via the Samsung settings menu before it would connect to the Visible cell network. After updating the software reboot the phone. Go into Connections, Mobile networks Network mode, Manual and select the Visible cell network after it is detected. The phone should then connect to the Visible cell phone network. Reboot the phone again to make sure that it connects to the Visible cell phone network. Go into Connections, Mobile networks, Access Point Names. Verify that the Visible Internet access point name is displayed. Go into Connections, Mobile networks, Network mode and select Automatic. That's it. You should be connected. Visible is the cheapest Unlimited Verizon service ( voice, text and data ) that I have found. At $40 a month it's a bargain.Read full review...

Great!, For a medium priced phone with high end features, but keep your charger handy!

It's OK, but I don't like the steps you have to go through in turning it off and my 12mp camera takes way better pictures than the 48mp in this phone. Also, very bad battery life.

However, the pro of it is the speed and slender design. Read full review...

For the money, this is a great phone.

The Good:
Coming from a Galaxy S5 (a good but old phone) this is an improvement.
I like the options and the increased speed over my old phone.
The camera is excellent.

The Bad
I miss the physical push button on the front of the phone. Tapping the front panel is harder to wake up the phone. If I just want to check the time etc, seems to be more hassle. The side button (with good reason is harder to push to wake the device)

Lots of useless apps placed for advertising. I have eliminated some but others remain. Still haven't figured out this Bixby thing nor do I think I want to.

My Pandora on the S5 worked well with my Kenwood car system. The new phone is not quite as friendly. I have tried the Andriod Auto but results have been less than stellar. Again, this may just be my learning curve. Many times I have to start Pandora manually from the phone after waking it and entering the passcode...(my preferred choice of security). This was not the case on the S5.

Overall I am happy with my purchase, a blank SIM included would have been helpful as I was not able to swap the SIM from the S5 (different card). I ended up going to Verizon and obtaining a SIM.

Good phone, could use a few improvements.

Just what I needed. I bought one for my wife a few months before I upgraded my old phone to this one. It has been great so far. The only true downside I have found is that the "Power" button really isn't a power button at all. You have to hold down the "power" button AND the "volume down" button together to power off the phone. Pressing the "Power" button itself just loads "Bixby". I wish I could uninstall that as I don't want, need, or use it. A quick press of the "volume down" and "power" buttons allows you to take a screen shot. This usually results in your screenshots having the volume icon in them. I feel they could have definitely improved on that aspect. Other than that, I absolutely love the camera, and feel of the phone. Read full review...

Great phone for what you pay for it

The galaxy a51 has amazing specs for the price you pay for it. The cameras look really good, the screen is decent, the battery life lasts all day with normal usage easily, and is fairly tough.

The Good (and Bad) Of Samsung

Well made device. Transfer app made switching phones easy and fast. Has great battery life after all the unnecessary proprietary Samsung apps are disabled. Like HP and their computers, Samsung over-packs their phones with a ton of unnecessary apps. It's tedious to have to go through and disable apps (not uninstall--they won't let you!) just to have a usable device that stays charged a decent amount of time. Did I mention some of these apps turn themselves back on at random? Yeah, more tediousness.. Get your act together, Samsung! You turned a 5-star product into a 3.Read full review...
