Compact phone with great features

Used this phone for a little over a week now and I can say it is definitely a Samsung flagship. Beautiful AMOLED display, hardly any lag with its TouchWiz overlay and I love the AOD (Always on display) feature. I upgraded from a Note 5. Performance is comparable. Screen is 5.1 inches and perfect for smaller hands like myself. One bad side is the battery. I can have the phone to 100% leave for work and by the end of my 8 hour shift with hardly any use it can be down to 30% to 40%. Radio seems a bit weak compared to my Note 5 too I can't get LTE or full coverage as often or as easily. Places where I get 4 to 5 bars now I get 2 to 3. That could be one of the reasons for the poor battery. Otherwise, I love this phone another great phone by Samsung made in 2016 using it in 2018.Read full review...

Cons
Battery drains not lasting more than 7 hours in my phone even thought I turn on optimization mode Samsung need to consider battery drain issue.

Good pocket computer. So-so phone.

As a pocket computer the Galaxy S7 is solid. I'm generally happy with the purchase. I only have two complaints:

1. Network Cell Info Lite app reports a cell signal strength about 10 dBm lower than my old Nexus 5 everywhere I go. At home, the signal strength is just barely usable. So the cell radio in the Galaxy S7 appears sub-par to me.

2. The Samsung Camera app uses *way* too much sharpening. After the good reviews the Galaxy S7 camera received, I expected gorgeous photos. The camera hardware appears to be quite good, but they ruined the software with all the sharpening. I can't find any way to adjust this in the default camera app. There are a couple third-party camera apps, such as Camera FV-5 and Snap Camera that let you adjust the sharpness. I'll probably pick up one of those after I experiment a little more.

Top of the line phone with few cons

It's a good phone. The only issue is that it has some screen burn. Otherwise, I've got a top of the line phone for less than $150. I like the metal and glass case- I'm anxious about toxic plastic off-gasses, or carrying aluminum- it's just nicer, what can I say. Decent processing speed. The battery life is maybe 16 hours with frequent use.Read full review...

Not too big, not too small, just the right size

I bought the Cdn. version online. It doesn't have all the apps the universal version has but I can get WiFi on LTE 5. Clear & brightly coloured apps & display. 4G ram makes it quick & the OS is supposed to be upgraded from 7 nougat to 8 Oreo shortly, Great camera & fast focusing. Highly recommended.Read full review...

Great size for your hand as well as easy to use your fingers to use all the those gadgets

The device is good overall. Great size, fast when it comes to reboot. It is easy to browse among among the apps offer within the device. Front camera has good resolution. Back camera is the one of the best among the cell industry. Read full review...

Great functional phone

This works great for an older model phone with faster speeds and nice pictures. Plus longer lasting battery too. Great deal for price for someone that doesn't need the latest/greatest phone and does just general social apps, texting and personal photos. Read full review...

Happy

So far I'm very happy with this phone. I was able to swap my SIM card and transfer my information from my old phone. The battery lasts pretty well, reception is better now that I can use WiFi calling. The size is good, still fits into my purse or pocket. Read full review...

Great phone but drains battery quickly.

I have to keep this phone charged. When I am streaming videos, the battery goes down by 20% per hour. It's pretty annoying. Luckily I am in an office and home setting where I can charge it often, but it's still inconvenient.Read full review...

Great Phone!

Great Phone! Doesn't have all of the same features the latest or greatest might have, but who needs something they need a huge learning curve to use? It has what I want, so does a great job!
