Good drive. Very quiet, hardly any heat generated at all and quick!
Great Hard drive! I was certain anything but a Maxtor, Western Digital or Seagate was the 'only' way to go becuase of past experiences with Samsung, Hitachi ect. brands from the late 90s. But I guess Samsung has their game together now becuase this drive is great! Its quiet, relativly cool running(after 3+hours usage) and fast!! Good points, the 500GB is not any louder than the dead quiet 400GB, and it uses PMR which means that Samsung are not behind technology wise to the competition. Bad points they dont have the amount of NAND flash listed on their HHDD (Hybrid Hard Disk Drive) MH80S line of drives, Samsung have a huge advantage over all other HDD manufacturers, they make half of the world flash memory, I am expecting that the original line of drives will only have 64MB, 128MB and 256MB of NAND on the drives, however 512MB and 1GB would be superb, but maybe Samsung are holding out on the specs until other manufacturers release their drives, then Samsung could release their drives with more.Read full review...

I replace my 160gb hd with this 500gb hard drive because I was running out of space on my old drive. I did not have any problems at all cloning my old drive. I like that now I have three times the space. so far it's working great.Read full review...
An outstanding hard drive for the price.

great drive fast no problems
very good drive no problems very easy to install no problems with cloneing my other smaller drive to this larger drive i am a big gamer and have not had any hand up with this drive yet

Excellent product! Easy to install!
Loved it and was easy to install. Bought it for an HDD Media player but did not received the HDD player but used it in another computer.
