If you own the E-Revo 1/16th scale RC, then you have to have this metal gear servo. I went through 3 sets of stripped servo gears before deciding to finally to change to metal gears. Because of the smaller scale, the steering servo gets a lot more abuse, and those tiny gears will strip very easily after a few jumps. That means, once they strip you are done for the day. And it's a 45 min job to change out the gears of the servo. Savox will steer you right - and left

My Traxxas summit 1/16 servo broke while using the first battery, took back to store where they replaced with new servo , that one broke also, no crazy stuff ,rolled the car and no more steering left.This servo dropped right in. Great replacement part for my 1/16 E-Revo

Only one problem to date, it seems it froze up and stopped working when using in the snow and freezing water puddles for 40 minutes. Other than that, it can take a beating and continues working great, where as the original 2080 servo would have broke 5-6 times already!Read full review

Mini size servo that is water proof and w/ metal gear. Durable, but expensive.
I only use Savox when I need to.

The servo motor on my Traxxas have gone bad and I replaced it with this one the metal teeth make it quicker at respond. You may have to reprogram your steering controls in case it has reverse polarity but if you know how to use YouTube you'll figure it out great productRead full review
