Seagate SATA Hard Drives
Seagate has long been recognized as one of, if not the, premier hard drive manufacturers of the world.
It's hard to ignore the excellent value these drives provide; both for initial cost and for their outstanding track record in reliability that gives them the best bang for the buck of any hard drive.
We like to swap out hard drives in the business computers we use, rotating them to less critical roles as stand-alone hard drives for non-critical files.
With "lesser drives" taking a 2-3 year rotation period we feel confident leaving Seagate drives in use for 3 to 5 years before sticking them in a case for archiving files & for home use for storing music & video files.
With an on-site hard drive testing / re-certifying machine, it's not unusual for them to pass recertification even after 5 years of constant running.Read full review...

It worked fine then it killed it self it melted wires could have been my fault ?
great value for the money
i purchased this hard drive at a very reasonable price.
it performs as it should. installation was a breeze.
overall content with the purchase. saved me a bunch on buying new.
Wonderful for the Price
Wonderful, it fit, and it was one of cheapest I've seen. Even though it was used, it came in an almost new condition. NO REGRETS!

Bad experience - failure imminent
It sounded like a great deal for the price, and Seagate is a respected name. It was a reconditioned drive, but that's OK. Right away, my computer wouldn't recognize it. I hooked it up to a dock and it showed up, so I tried to use it as a backup. S.M.A.R.T. immediately told me that it was getting ready to fail and I shouldn't use it. It started getting hot too. Bad experience for me.Read full review...
Reliable drive
These drives are reliable. It's just that simple.
I use them for long term storage of important
data and I find Seagate drives to be durable.
Awesome deal right here
I bought a lot of 2 of these for my server and put them in RAID 0, so now I have 1.5 terabyte disks in the server. They work well, they're already stacked with data.
