I bought it for the gb size, rpm factor, & the Seagate name.
Very happy with hard drive. No problems, & it operates quietly without any hitches. Prefer the 7200 over the 5400 rpm for faster data transfer, & have not noticed any difference in battery life. Have tried other brands of hard drives over the years, and always keep coming back to Seagate. Failure rate seems to be extremely low.Read full review...
Overall great HDD for the money
Nice size and great speed for the money, does seem to run a little hotter but I guess the 7200rpm is responsible for that,

bought this to replaced failing hard drive in my laptop. Works well and passed all test - I would like to have purchased a larger drive but price was a factor. Very happy with this drive

It goes round and round just like it's supposed to.
It works, was easy to install and needed no special programs. It does what it's supposed to do, store stuff..that's all I know.
