This expensive, frail, made in China piece of garbage really did me in! Bought it 2 years ago for $95, rarely used it, recently tried to backup my PC on it when it stopped working. Upon plugging it in, it gave off a beeping sound, and the computer would not recognize it. Called Seagate and MicroCenter (the place I bought it) but to no avail. Lost all my data, and no one would refund my money. Even worse yet, they tried to extract more money out of me by telling me for a nother $100 or so that they will recover my data. Don't mess with this device. For no reason at all, it could do you in too and no one will help. Caveat Emptor!Read full review...
