brings back memories! Worth the money.

This is a second review of a CD and I purchased this one because of one song I loved many years ago. I had to google who sang the song and was pleased to find the CD with that song on eBay. I was so pleased as I actually knew a couple of the other songs and loved them all. What a pleasant sort of music to listen to and very easy to learn it. Fantastic journey into a real folk singer,inspired by the day to day horrors and beauties ofDetroit,
Haunting vocal quality of singer thrill your very soul,acoustic guitar on most tracks mingled with wood instruments give this soundtrack a wonderful synergy of life,reflecting the artist himself, If you are going to buy only one Rodriguez album this is it as it covers a wide span of his works and has been rephrased to give listener a clear vibrancy of the music which on the earlier albums is lost due to low end recording equipment.

FANTASTIC Artist, Great songs!

I gave it 4 stars because the sound quality is O.K. - not audiophile, but still better (remastered) than the other 2 albums.

I've never heard about Sixto Rodriguez until I saw the movie "Searching for Sugar Man". I became an instant admirer of this wonderful man and his wonderful music. I bought a couple of records, for me and for a friend who also became a good fan of Rodriguez. The songs are great, so glad to have the opportunity to hear it.Read full review...

Just Great

Great CD, every song on this is great if your a true Sixpo Rodriguez Fan.

Just a shame he did not make it at his peak with all his albums, we are so Lucky we can still see this great man sing Live today.
