Great suction!

Love the suction and the foam brush on the front lifts the nap of the carpet almost like it was new! So far, there is no dog hair caught in the roller or fins so am very pleased with that. Lightweight and easy to use. Wasn’t really expecting the slight swivel in the head so that takes a little getting used to. That’s the pluses; now for this minuses: when using the carpet setting, the suction on the machine makes it ‘walk’ which can be hard to handle. The only way to stop it from walking when the machine is running is to snap it into the stand alone or upright position. So far, this walking has caused me to catch up an afghan, floor mat, my husband’s shoelaces and its own power cord! Not good! And, speaking of the power cord, it really would have been nice to have it about 10’ longer. Neither of these negatives would keep me from buying it again.Read full review...

Awesome, especially for the price

I replaced a 17 year old Dyson upright vacuum with this Shark. I don't expect this vacuum to last that long, but I just didn't want to put out $700 for a new Dyson. That being said, I've been amazed at how well this vacuum works. Especially how well it picks up along baseboards and edges. It does a great job on carpets of varying heights and even better on hard floors! My only complaint is that Shark uses a different diameter for their attachments and none of my Dyson attachments will fit. But I just ordered a hose adaptor kit that will fix that problem. I guess time will tell how long this vacuum holds up, but for the price, it was a no brainer.Read full review...

Great vacuum but small issue

It works really well and is a lot quieter than my previous vacuum. The only small gripe I have is with how easy the vacuum head separates from the unit when you hit the red button to be able to use it regularly.
