This vacuum is lightweight but very powerful. I used it on bedroom carpets after they had been previously vacuumed 3 times with my old vacuum and shampooed. After all that I still filled the shark canister. I have a long hair cat and it was able to pull all the cat hair from the carpets. It's easy to remove the canister to empty but you do have to take the cord with you because it's attached to the canister. It's also easy to connect and disconnect the other parts. I definitely would recommend this vacuum.Read full review
