Poor quality - Broke when I was adjusting it
I mounted this derailleur and it broke when I was adjusting the limit screws for the first time. The limit screws simply went out of their socket.
It is not the first time I'm installing a derailleur so I know how to mount and adjust those. And I didn't force the adjustments. I did it very gently the same way I always do but It's simply a bad product and bad design.
I don't understand why Shimano updated their front derailleur design. They simply made it flimsy. It is no longer as sturdy nor as solid as the old one. I ended up buying the old FD-R5800 instead of this one and it has a much simpler design and it is much more solid and works like a charm.Read full review...
