Great Product for almost 30 years
The standard for clipless mountain bike pedals. Tried other brands and styles over the years and keep ending up back on good old Shimano SPD XT. Consistent entry and exit. Just the right amount of float. Durable. Lightweight. And reasonably priced. Found the XTR version a little too weak for hard Enduro riding.Read full review...

Buyer beware - not authentic Shimano pedals
I purchased these pedals in February and put about 850 miles on them, mostly gravel. After about a season of use, I can confirm that these are not genuine Shimano pedals. The quality and durability of these pedals are not up to the Shimano standard. On the left pedal, the pedal body moves side to side along the axle (about a centimeter of play) which has led to some knee pain. The pedal also spills grease everywhere. This has never happened to any authentic Shimano clipless pedal I've used, including some with more than 6,000 miles of use. The springs have also rusted, which should not happen under normal use and maintenance for only 850 miles. I can't seem to get the spring tension high enough on these. For an XT pedal, you should be able to get the spring tension fairly high with the adjustment dial. Lastly, these pedals are being sold at a severe discount and ship from China. They may seem like a good deal, but I advise that you find genuine Shimano products from a reputable retailer. Read full review...

XT Pedals = reliable performance
I've used XT pedals on my bikes for years. Shimano XT products are the best combination of performance and longevity. Most important is reliable pedal entrance and exit (I have tried other SPD compatible brands with poor results). Read full review...

Hopefully an improved version.
I have used these and older style XT level mountain SPD style pedals on all of my bikes- road, mountain and gravel for years. The only ones that I have had any problems with are the previous PD M- 8000 versions, which are prone to breaking spindles after a few years of use. Hopefully this new version will be an improvement. Best pedals ever.
Best pedals ever. I use them on my road bikes because if you wear mountain bike shoes, you can walk around normally instead of walking like a duck on ice like you do if you're using Look pedals or any of the other bigger type of cleats.

Best W/O breaking the bank!!!
When it comes to pedals there are so many . . . but Shimano consistently brings the best overall package over and over, and I'm not really even a Shimano fan!!! They're light-weight, lighter than most, especially in the price range, they take a real beating out there on the trail, they work flawlessly and they last forever, what more could you want!?!?!?Read full review...
