This sub really pounds!!! Sounds just as good, if not better than the Sundown Audio SD-3 10D2 (before it blew) that this sub replaced.
So far on day 1, this subwoofer performs amazingly well. Only complaint I have is the rubber vanity ring that covers/guides installation screws. Holes didnt lineup the best to mount the woofer. Other than that it sounds great and has a lot of thump to it for a shallow mount 10. Im giving it every bit of its 500w rms power handling and its taking it so far. Ive blown my Sundown Audio SD-3 10D2 for the second time. So decided to buy this SKAR shallow mount to temporarily replace it while my Sundown is getting fixed. Read full review...

Good quality, good sound, poor overall size for truck boxes
Skar is always top choice for me when working with a budget, these shallows still hit hard and I gotnthem wired to a 1200w RMS mono SKAR amp! Only downside, if you order a truck box, even dual 10 in truck box, the magnets on these are too big and doesn't fit, also where the wire terminals are on the dual voice Coils, stick out and doesn't allow sub to drop in place, and the foam surround is so large, you'll have to get a 2-3 in leg on the box or they'll be smashed on floor or seat. Skar 10" dual 2 ohm subs
These subs are amazing ! If you want shallow mount subs I highly recommend these subs, they are so awesome I'm building a new enclosure for them, my existing box just can't handle them.
I had two 10" Memphis subs in the enclosure and it sounded great, but the Skar shallow mounts are just as deep as the Memphis subs 5.75" and they look killer too.
I'm almost hoping that I blow my Orion XTR Pro 12" dual 4 ohm subs that I have in my other car so I have an excuse to buy some Skar 12's for it, and believe me I love my old school Orion subs, they pound, but I'd put these Skar who's up against them any day.
I just wish I had the box finished to add a picture of them installed, you'll just have to settle do a picture of my Orion's, the 10's will be a scaled down version.

Really great subs!!
Ok, this is a long term review. I didn’t know what to expect when I ordered these but my expectations were surpassed at every level. Build quality was great. Had these on a 1000 watt Rockford amp until break in then put them on a MB Quart 3000 watt amp with the gain turned down... they sounded so good and just kept asking for more. I eventually pushed the amp to its max and these Skar audio subs took it with NO distortion. It’s insane. They hit cleaner and just as hard as my 15 inch spundqubed. The best shallow mount sub I've ever seen.
These subs seem like they're made incredibly well. I've got them in a sealed box in a single cab truck. The bass is tight and responsive. They get pretty low considering my airspace. I'm sure they would slam even harder in a ported box. For the price these are an incredible deal.Read full review...
