I like this movie! Farely Entertaining. A break from all the action and horror out there. I am a 38 year old woman and enjoy a little break from all the blood and guts every once in a while. A Rollicking Adventure Movie

I think this movie is hilarious. Cuba Gooding Jr is perfect as the very successful, yuppie urban dentist who inherits a snow-bound cabin in the wilds, along with a team of sled dogs, which he has no idea how to care for -- plus the alpha dog in the team has it out for him. He is totally out of his element.

Cuba was adopted, and he just finds out about it. He goes to claim his inheritance from his deceased real mother, and to find out who she was, and who his father is. His father turns out to be a misfit cantakerous dog-sledder (played by James Coburn, who is perfect for the part), who wants to buy Cuba's dog team for a race, and tries to cheat Cuba in the deal. Cuba decides he is going to be in the race himself, and we get to watch his uproarious efforts to learn how to dog-sled and control his team. This includes taping his hand to the sled so he won't fall off, which ends up with him being dragged around; and hooking up the team to a car that has a very upset skunk living in it. The race has some exciting elements in it. However, it's not just all dog-sledding. There is interaction with his real father, who doesn't want to be a father, and there is a low-key love interest. The movie has a totally satisfying ending. I like totally satisfying endings.Read full review...

Snow Dogs DVD

We bought this DVD for our 2 small son's who really loved it when it was playing in the theatre. This was one of their Christmas presents.
They LOVE this DVD and will watch it repeatedly if I let them.
It is funny child friendly and no sad parts.
Very easy for our 4 year old to grasp and lots of action with the animals and dogs.
We actually purchased this DVD and the other snow dogs movie called 8 Below and I must say, though we adults enjoyed this DVD our son's became sad and did not really care for the 8 below DVD.
So for a Fun,. Action Packed Alaskan Snow filled Fun adventure Get this Snow Dogs DVD even if you just watch it to see your children's faces light up with their excitement and joy in the show it is well worth it...each and every time the boys see it I see the Joy on their faces and in their hearts shining through with this show!Read full review...

Very good funny family movie! They made a movie without the dogs getting hurt or killed. So many animal movies have the animals being mistreated, or hurt, or killed...but this one doesn't...it's a good movie!Read full review...
