I already have one and love it. I wanted a backup recorder.

It works great to take to the doctor's office and record what the doctor tells me. I can set it on voice activated and stick it in my shirt pocket and when the doctor comes in and starts talking it records our conversation.

probably only good for recording personal notes or lectures. but didn't try it.

doesn't read mp3 chips. only plays one album then then shuts off on internal memory. no random and no equaliser adjustments. the sound is o.k.

This is a good product because it works so well and is so easy to use unlike some other brands of recorders which I have tried; Olympus recorders absolutely suck because they are loaded with every problem which Sony recorders aren't.
