And I write only my opinion. The camera is small in size, but can solve many problems associated with photo video shooting. I just miss the microphone input. I am satisfied with the purchase.

Perfect image quality, but not very user friendly...

I bought this camera because of superb image quality among point-and-shoot cameras. It has all full manual semi-pro functions, but UI is not good. It is aimed at long-time sony camera users, and not for standard (SLR or 4/3 MLC) full manual camera users. Therefore many functions are hidden in menu or not handy to use during making photos. Great camera even the older models give great shots, the battery life is also good and you can charge the battery while inside the camera, ideal if you dont want the bulk and weight of an SLR

In my opinion, the Sony RX100 is the best all round compact digital camera available at this time. I have all Canon top of the range full frame camera bodies and L lenses, including a couple of their compacts, Canon S90, Canon G1X. The Sony RX100 more than lives up to any expectations I had prior to taking delivery of it. Very satisfied with the picturequality, but the camera is too slippery, the design is valued before usability.
All in all, a good camera, but a bit overpriced.

Good camera for underwater photography

Big sensor so you can use it low ligth condition.
