Great Little Camera

This camera has several important features that the combination can only be found in more expensive cameras. First is an external mic input. Get a BeachTek DXA-2T Universal Compact Camcorder Audio Adapter or similar device to allow XLR line-level or mic-level imput. You can also buy or build your own 40db pad and come off a mixer to do the same job. Another great feature is that this camera has Lanc that allows the use of a variety of zoom controls. This camera does have a 30GB hard drive which may be limiting to some, but we don't let video sit on it that long anyway. 30GB gives us hours of use...as in a football game or similar activity. HD video is 1920. Our use is maxed at 720p, so we're still ok there. Couple this this camera with Sony Vegas editors, and you can do projects quickly and easily. The camera itself has all the functions I am looking for for filming videos to place on the internet, it films in HD and is Mac compatible, the reason I chose it. So far so good.
