For a product that is discontinued and comes in a box. The remote prevents camera jiggle at macro settings

This is a great tripod

This tripod is a great tripod and the remote controls make it easy to control my DCR TRV950. Though it won't compare to the carbon fiber tripods it is stable and easy to use as well as compact.

Stay away unless you like things that break easily

Absolute piece of junk - throwaway tripod. This is made for palmcorders only. Very cheap construction - knobs break off, crank handle snaps off.

Upgrade to Sony VCT 780RM to get the same remote control features in a package that's much better made and more reliable.Read full review...
