An example of the decline of America

The perceptions of a man change over time. When young, knowing what one who is young knows, this book was very compelling and interesting. The story of man's technological advancement to leave this planer -- albeit only to the moon -- seemed as a terrific achievement.
What when young I'd not realized this book could be titled the death of this nation. While the concepts -- technologically were tremendous -- at the same time the ethnicity, the culture, the foundations of this nation were being destroyed.
Michener presented the reality of the debacle out nation experienced beginning in the 60's, which are continuing to destroy this nation to this day.
