Daughter grew up in the 1980's and loved the series. Cannot seem to find a Series SET, so I went with the Movie collection. Great idea expecially on DVD. . To be able to view these old TV programs, as opposed to the sickening Reality Shows on today's television. The only decent stuff is so boring. 10 different versions of CSI's and Law & Order. Hmmm. I am another fan of the TV series, the novels, and the four movies. Spenser was brought to life by Robert Urich, who demonstrated the compassion, humor, deductive reasoning and fierceness the character requires. The supporting cast was well written and the actors well selected. Occasionally, I felt the story line could have been improved a bit. Films often fall a little short of the novel. There is a little more graphic behavior in the DVD's than I remember from the TV presentation. Therefore, I would caution parents of young or immature children.Read full review...

I'm a big fan of the former ABC series (the novels) and the subsequent 4 movies that followed the 66 series episodes (Lifetime network). I was so excited to finally see it released on DVD.
