This is my second Spot Hogg Wise Guy release I bought. It is by far the best release I have tried and I have tried many. It has no travel and just a hair trigger It doesn't matter if you squeeze or jerk it you get a clean crisp release and as long as you have your bow sighted in properly and have the sight pin on your target you will hit exactly where you aim. It's really hard to make a bad shot with this release. It is so forgiving it amazes me every time I shoot by bow. Oh and I bought my second one for a back up and keep it in my back pack in case I forget my other one in the vehicle which has happened a couple times. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has trouble holding the pin on the target. When you see the pin on target jerk the trigger and your bow will hit the target exactly where your pin was aiming. It's that easy!Read full review...

wrist strap to small

I have The Wise Guy nylon release. Fits me perfect. Ordered the rigid buckle release and the wrist strap is to small. Put both releases side by side and the buckle on the rigid was 1 1/4" farther back. Called Spot Hogg and talked to Aron. Told him the problem and that there is no way this release can fit 90% of the men out there. The size is more of a youth or woman's than for a man. He responded that's the only strap they have right now and there's nothing he can do. The more I expressed my concerns to him the more he acted like I was wasting his time. I own 2 releases and a sight from Spot Hogg. I am positive this will be my last purchase of a Spot Hogg product. I can not keep supporting a company with no costumer service. Read full review...

Its not an artillery lanyard

You don't see a lot of Offhand rifle competitors with 4lb triggers for a reason. This release took me about 5 arrows to get used to. Breaks like thin glass with no motion at maybe 12oz as shipped.. Easy to D-loop. No running out of breath processing your release break. Touch and it goes. Several hundreds shots now with no accidentals or change in feel. . Tightened my groups. Concern as some posted about too short for them as I am not small handed. I found if I didn't wear tight like a tourniquet I actually had to shorten 1/4". not bad

I have used many released from all brands so i wanted to give this one a shot. the crispness of the release is second to none and the strap is very comfortable and does not stretch at all. My only dislike is that i feel compact while using this even when all the way extended. I anchor with my thumb behind my head and i wasnt able to do that with this release. Now im not a small dude, ive got very large hands and very thick wrists so that may have been the factor but overall i would very much recommend this product. Now this is one more fantastic release I've every shoot I've shot Carter, true ball, Scott, and they are not even close in the ball game with this release hunting target 3d shooting has no trigger travel at all like my two stage trigger on my gun. Nice and quick

Works very well for anyone who likes a release with hardly any travel and light to the touch. The only thing I didn't care for much was the wrist strap. It's made of a fairly thin leather, not as thick as the WiseGuy model with the metal shank. Not sure why this model has a lighter strap. Hot but crisp!

Super crisp release with no creep. While it can be set hot I have left mine with the way I received it. Love how easy you can attach to the D loop and the reset feature.
