Makes the small radio too big, but is is well made and does function as designed
I purchased the HX-40 radio, because it is small and easily fits into my lifejacket. I do all kinds of boating (kayak, sail and power), and have fixed mounted VHF radios and larger handhelds on my bigger boats.
My point is that the new small radio, becomes very large once the floating case is installed onto the radio. This tiny radio is as big as my bigger handhelds, with the floating cover on it.
The floating cover works and it is made well, but I will install a lanyard on my HX-40, so that it will continue to be a small radio and fit into my lifejacket...Read full review...

Fits like a glove over the HX40 radio, and seems sturdy enough for sea duty. Arrived within the week of ordering.
