Stick Around For Joy-Sugarcubes!
Er, hello! This is my first review on Ebay, so please be kind. ;-)
This album, one of three studio releases for the Post-Modern legends the Sugarcubes, is a masterful foray into the surreal. Spacey melodies and unique lyrics are mated with the absolutely gorgeous vocals of Iceland's musical mistress Bjork, to produce an intensely enjoyable album. This classic is immediately enjoyable, but repeated listening can provide heightened delight.
The Sugarcubes were a relatively short-lived phenomenon, but the quirky genius of their work will remain, for years to come, a must-own for any fan of Post-Modern, or for that matter any kind of music.
I bought this disc "this" time (I have purchased several copies since its 1992 release) due to the fact that I found a great price on Ebay. Nevertheless, I have paid as much as 20 USD for this album, and would do so again without any qualms.Read full review...
EARLY BJORK STUFF
The only reason I bought this is because of Bjork of course. The sound quality is bad, her voice is great though. I would like to see these sugarcubes albums remixed and polished up to today's standard. Only buy this if you already into Bjork, otherwise you will be dissapointed.Read full review...
