Homeschool in the Car

This collection of CDs tells the stories of world history in general chronological order. Good mix of history from the perspective of different cultures. It's historically accurate, but not boring, as the author includes many tales from mythology and tradition as well as dates and facts. Jim Weiss, who reads the book has a very versatile voice which he puts to good use throughout.

We have used these CDs in the car as we shuttle children from one activity to another, creating a mobile history class. The children has retained a lot of the information because it is presented in story form.

My husband started listening to them on his commute, and enjoyed them so much we bought the next volume!

Great for all ages

I love Jim Weiss's style of reading. My 11 year old daughter loves to read along in her book as he reads. She cozies up in her bed with her book, her CD player and Jim's voice:-)

Great way to learn

This is the third "Story of the World" product I have purchased for my family. We listen to the CD's in the car once a week and my children and I have learned so much. The stories not only provide historical facts like dates and names of people, but background information about how the people lived, worked, and played. Yea and Nay

Great supplement to our Classical Conversations studies. However, not as strong on the Christian worldview as I would prefer should I be using it as a primary resource.
