A good Challenging game...

This is a game I grew up with since my childhood and I just had to play it again! The game is farily hard but it is possible to get used to it. Basically, you play as a small ship in space in an astroid and looking for P.O.Ws and Sub Modules and occacionally a boss here and there. Like every game, it gets trickery and tickery as the game goes on. You have to constintly look for fuel and it is importent for the weapon upgrades and extra lives cause you'll need them.
The Music in the game is also pretty impressive. Not the best 16 bit music I have heard on the Genesis but stuff that I enjoy listening to and still remember before I re-bought this game.
Now, if you are a retro gamer with little to no paticence then I do not recommend this game. But if you want a challenge than I say give this game a shot cause trust me...you'll get one.
The only other thing that I can really say about it that is bad is that there are no continues. Now through out the game you find at least two extra lives and there is no max number to how many you can get but believe...some continues or at least some passwords would be very useful! I'll be honest, I have never beaten this game, not in my childhood or my adulthood. To some extent I do think it is ridiculously hard but I still think some other people could beat it.
But in the end it is just an entertaining game that I can play at least the first few levels over and over again.

Good but very challenging

Has good graphics and being Complete In Box as a result of being Brand New + Factory Sealed enhances the product's value. In terms of cons, gameplay is challenging and difficult as it's not easy to control your game character resulting in advancement from one game level to another game level not being a quick thing.

Sincerely,
Kevin Stroik

The hardest game you have never heard of.

Subterrania is a space shooting game, where you are able to fly in any direction... You also have to fight the laws of gravity in order to be stable. This can be a little frustrating for new players, because the learning curve will be long at first.

Story:
Aliens have started attacking humans. It's your job to put an end to the conflicts and save the Earth. You will get to use an experimental spaceship, which can become a submarine after you have found all the sub parts for it. There's not really much to the story.

Gameplay:
As I said before, this game will feel frustrating for new gamers, because ship control can get hard, especially when you have to attach something to your ship. You also have to worry about conserving fuel, and hitting walls.. Not to mention the various enemies that will try to attack you as you carry out your missions.

There are also 3 types of main weapons for your ship, along with different levels of them.

Controls:
The controls seem to be a bigger enemy than the people shooting at you. The garvity system makes the controls very frustrating. Once you get used to the controls, the game will be a lot easier.

Music:
plan midi bliss pretty standard with most genesis games.

Overall:
Sub-Terrania is an often overlooked and highly underrated title that most people will put down without even giving it a chance thanks to its steep learning curve and its difficulty. The game looks, sounds, and smells like the average shooter but as it turns out it's more of a strategic puzzle that values piloting skills over twitch reflexes and manic shooting. The game's worth looking into if you're a hardcore gamer who's bored of the usual shooter and looking for something original, but it's definitely not for everyone. If you can get used to the controls, and having to deal with gravity, then you are in for a great game.

If you want a decent Sega game that is challenging, get this.

Pilot a ship, accomplish missions. Fighting various enemies and gravity, navigate your ship through a challenging game. I'm struggling on mission 3 so far, but it's a learning experience kind of game.Read full review...

Flying under the radar...

This game is waaayyy cool. Aliens have taken over subterranan Earth. Your job if you choose to accept it is to dive deep into the Earth's core and fight bad guys shoot 'em up and also fight gravity at the same time. At some points it really gets fun when you are fighting bad guys, fight gravity AND under water looking for air...I LOVED this game but you need to keep playing and don't give up too soon!!!Read full review...
