Excellent Party Game, Fun for For All Ages

I bought this game expecting it to be the same as the previous iteration, Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Needless to say, I thought wrong. It's completely different and has blown me away. Anyways, here's the review. First, the graphics. Crisp, clean, runs at 1080p and 60FPS. A definite improvement from last generation Smash game. Every character and map in the game is unique and looks different, and it's pretty obvious that a lot of thought was put into the game. Some textures on the map look bad but that's because they've been imported from previous games and want to remain faithful to their respective styles. Second, the gameplay. Fast, whack-your-friends action. Fun, exhilarating, and extremely satisfying when you K.O. someone. There's a lot of characters to choose from and they're all unique in gameplay as they are in appearance. Also a lot of game modes to choose from and options are very flexible. HIGH RE-PLAYABILITY! Great, but needs a price drop.

4/5 its not bad, but could use some serious work. Although there are no plans for anymore patches according to the devs, so this is what we get.

The controls are clunky, sometimes hard to respond it seems. The online is still lacking with a slight bit of lag, which is never a good thing for any type of online interactions. Still playable, but sometimes it becomes unplayable due to this lag.

Aside from that the character roster is really nice. (Before any unlocks) The characters you can unlock add much more to the game. However I feel like some of these characters are not different from others, the moves feel similar, and stances are the same. Although I understand that individual stances and moves would of taken longer in the dev stage.

All in all I would say its a decent game, however the 60$ is a bit much for it, 50 is a solid price I would say. I understand the devs need to make a profit on these, however I do not believe in the way games are going. A physical and digital copy cost the exact same, which is terrible, as there is no need for a case, cover, or fully colored booklet to be supplied. That should take out 10 or more dollars at least.

Other than those small cons, its still a good game. If your a fan buy it, if you would rather wait then wait for it to go on sale or drop to 50$.
