I love Supernatural and Anime. This had so much promise but its just bad. I loved how Jensen and Jared talked about each episode before they played but that does not forgive the Anime of all its badness. I was super committed to watch the whole thing but I just could not do it. I feel really bad about not finishing it but I could not handle it any more. One Of My New Favorite Anime Series

This anime is far beyond anything that I expected it would be. So far I have watched the first two disks and was blown away by how amazing the episodes were. The animation is not like todays regular/popular anime like Naruto or Bleach, it has more of a dark tone to it but that just adds to the series. The detail of Sam and Dean is really cool and the art work of the Yellow-Eyed Demon blew me out of the water, the artist drew him very well. This anime goes in a somewhat different direction than the TV series in that both season 1 and season 2 are included. I was surprised to find anime original episodes that were not part of the TV series but could have been easily. Only two things bugged me about the series, one is that Bobby does not seem like Bobby. For some odd reason I can't see Bobby represented as well as the other characters were. And two, the Yellow-Eyed Demon is often called the Devil. That really got to me because it compleatly sets off seasons 4 and 5. I can honestly say that any fan of Supernatural will love the anime, even if they are not fans of anime. Anime fans of Supernatural will fall in love with this series, as I have. I have high hopes that part two will come out for the anime series including seasons 3 and 4. This Series Rocks for Supernatural and Horror Anime fans.

This is the first anime series made that is base on a live action series. Most of the stories are revamps of episodes in the first two seasons of Supernatural. However, the stories are changed so that they are unique new tales. There are also a couple of original stories. The English version is voiced and commented on by Jared an Jensen, the live action stars.

The bonus material is excellent. It describes the production well and how the two directors had different goals and how they chose to deliberately break some of anime's rules to create the images they wanted.

Speaking of images, these anime are much more graphic in their violence than the live action is. This is because of anime's nature and the fact that the live action series does not have the budget to create the vivid effects that are par for the course with anime.

This series is a must for any Supernatural fan or any horror anime fan.Read full review...

Good but not great. I'm sure season two will have worked out the wrinkles.

Not quite what I expected becuase with animation the action scenes can be expanded. The monologue seems alittle forced and unoriginal. I love supernatural so much that I'm willing to give the second season a try though. Most anime series based on network series start out alittle rough.
