It is almost too easy to forget Carlos Santana because he doesn't sing. Clapton, Hendrix, Brother Duane leaned on Gregg's vocals). BUT his guitar does the talking, in a style that is so unique, so grand so blazing that it is Santana's voice. The highest mix of Latino frenzy and driving Rock & Roll momentum, Supernatural is his best album. I believe its his best because it is incredibly diverse and yet consistent in its musical quality. It is the joy of synergy, combining his passionate guitar with so many top performers. Classic Platinum Grammy Winner

Santana is still bringing joy to fans who like the latin beat and his guitar. This album has tracks still being heard on today's radio stations. I had 2 CDs of Supernatural. Family, friends and I wore out the tracks. It was great that I can once again enjoy the sounds of Supernatural.
There are some tracks I tend to play over and over. "Smooth", #1 on the billboards for 12 weeks, reminds me of younger days. "Corazon Espinado" also brings memories of love lost. Oh, and "Maria, Maria" with a range of vocals is also a treat for listeners like myself. The album is full of hits and several artist contribute to the what has made this album one of my all time favorites.Read full review...

Supernatural - Santana/Carlos Santana (CD 1999)

Why I bought it: Well, first of all i love the sound of an electric guitar well played of course! Santana is a classic and in this album he express his style and feeling about music within different rythms. He is a great exponent.

What I like most about it: His magnificient performs without exagerating in all the songs caught my attention, i was looking forward to have someday this album, in addition to the variety of rythms you can find, he goes from latin to samba, salsa, hiphop featuring great stars like eric clapton.

What you dislike about it: Nothing. It's just what i was hoping to find in this album!Read full review...

The Best Santana Album

This is the best Santana album and is actually my spare (second copy). I have a lot of other albums and all have a few great songs, but this has many many great songs. The only other two albums of Santana' that come close are Moonflower and Inner Secrets. Abraxous was an earlier album and it is good, but this is great and Santana deserved all the grammy's he won for it.Read full review...
