Poor design.

They needed a larger loop where the closing snap ring is attached. My wife was unable to get it fastened and I bought this for her. Also, you need to wire the opposite side so that you won't lose half of it. If you look at the reviews on Amazon, you will see that it is common to lose half of the trap when gathering your catch.Read full review

Bait catcher, money saver

Been using gee-feet traps since childhood I usually make the hole a bit bigger for crayfish. and leave them small for bait. Darn good value for a good price compared to buying bait. I still have a couple from the early '70s. I've tried others but I'll stick with these...they work better, last longer and save me big money on bait; plus, you catch the bait which the fish are accustomed to feeding on with just a bit of cornbread and an old biscuit for bait.Read full review

I've used these often, but I tend to forget to keep them indoors. Over time they will rust. I like them better than the rubber coated mesh.
