Brilliant lens.

This Tamron piece is a fast and sharp lens. It has a quite good price. It works very well at low-light conditions. I used it for both film and photography, and it worked really well.

One of the best lense i've bought

This is a very good lens, sharp and with a good ƒ2.8 from 17 throug 50mm the only thing is that looks cheap for all the plastic parts it has, but its a surprise how strong it is. Nothing bad to really say!

This lens is a top shelf performer! It is razor sharp throughout the focal range! Contrast & color reproduction are top notch! This lens shows some of the absolute best resolution capabilities, in fact the tests I have studied show it out resolving anything in the Tamron & Canon line up on MTF50! Focus is not HSM/USM so it is not super lighting fast, but it is quick and accurate!

Great upgrade to kit lens on many rebel cameras
