This lens has an amazing quality for the price. I tested it with a Canon 7D and got impressive results. On the plus side: the optics quality. On the minus side: the noise of the focus motor. The motor is making more noise than canon lenses but this doesn't bug me anyway.Read full review...

Best lense for the price it cost!

This is a good lense, I use it to replace the original lense that comes with my camera wich was darker. Very fast focus, is a perfect lense for the money that it cost!

It' s impossible to get an international Warranty card. If you buy it autside your contry you will not have warranty for your lens.

Great lens for the price! Sharp image with fast focusing

Excellent lens. Better alternative to some of Canon's own lens except the L series. Sharp image with fast focusing. Although focusing is not silent type it does not make much noise either.

Tamron 17-50 2.8

Just received this lens for my 30D, have already taken 1000 photos in all kinds of conditions, preformed great and super sharp photos. Do not waste your money on the Canon 17-55, this one is 1/3 the price and you wont be able to tell the difference in photo qualityRead full review...

This is a fantastic lens.

Much better then the kit lens. Do your self a favor and buy your camera bare (body only) and pick up this as your first lens, you will not be disappointed. AF is slower then with a USM lens but it's still plenty quick.Read full review...

Its a good lens

Bought this lens as an "upgrade" to the kit lens. SPecially because of the continuos F2.8. came with a nice lens hood. Pitures are of very good quality. Its is fairly sharp @2.8, a bit soft sometimes but nothing too major.

I took a chance. A friend of mine bought a Tamron lens and after a few years the elements separated. Tamron said he must have dropped it - even though it was NOT dropped and they never saw the lens.
