The CD-A500 is easy to use.

I bought this unit used, to replace one on which the CD unit had failed, door open/close issue and CD disc recognition problem(seems to be a common problem with the CD-A500). However I do like the unit because it is so easy to use and really does a fine job on CD's. I especially like the program mode that allows you to set up at least 20 tracks and play only those tracks after setup. Also you can set 4 seconds between tracks,which is nice. It allows you to control playback without any surprises. All in all for the price it stacks up nicely againt any other unit I have seen.Read full review...

Great space saving combo deck

I had been looking for a CD/cassette combo deck for a few years. It was very hard to find one in a “deck” style that can plug into my receiver, as opposed to the tower style or boom box. THIS ITEM . Is a cd and cassatte recorder and player combine. when I first the cds I compared it to my carver,at first I thought carver was a lot better but as I heard more of the tascam I started to relize that it sounded warmer almost turntable like. The cassette is excallet when it records almost sounds as good as the cd player. this is a good item to buy if you have cds and you want a little warmer sound. great with vintage equitment .Read full review...
