Taylor Hygrometer/temperature/time Digital Thermometer Plastic Black

Not Sure It Reads Accurately

I bought it to back up and verify the thermometer on my HVACs thermostat. I was hoping both would read the same so I knew the thermostat was accurate. They don't read the same. the Taylor reads a lower temperature versus the thermostat.
