easy install if you have the right rear mount. Luckily I had a different sized rear threaded sleave that fit and screwed to the cable cap screw. My original was a different size. So far so good. Had our boat out twice now and really steers smooth. Only quarrel is that it seems to turn more one way than the other. It states a 3 foot radius. Seems that my boat could use a bit more, but does not seem to pose a problem. Motor seems to turn a bit more than the steering cable allows and more to the right than the left. Some of that problem could be the location where my rear pivot ball is mounted on to the transom, but if I could have found a bit more than three foot wider range of travel within the cable I would have went with that. Also the pin for the quick disconnect is confusing. My cable behind the steering wheel hasn't popped off yet. Seems that the clip slides in sideways instead of straight up & down over the cable / confusing or maybe I don't have it in right. 4 star is still a good rating. It works!!!
